The Art of Truth

I oppose the genocide of innocent Palestinians by the Israeli government.

I oppose the American government, or any government, supplying the weapons that help support this genocide.

I support the voices that shine a light on this issue and these crimes through a variety of creative ways, including film, music, poetry, and other forms.

One of those is through the new film “NAZA” by Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor.

It is a film that is creating controversy, discourse, and anger, especially amongst the Israeli government, for exposing hard truths within the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) of the atrocities that they have and continue to commit.

It’s remarkable to me that the deaths of over 70,000 men, women, and children has become a firestorm of debate.

How this alone can be debated I can truly not understand.

How can anyone claim righteousness in the murder of children, over 21,000 and counting?

Yes, there are many that instantly make a statement claiming that anyone against the Israeli government and their right to protect their nation and people is antisemitic.

It is not.

In fact, the most humanly democratic ideal is to confront and disagree with those activities and policies that any government uses in the destruction of other humans.

That is not antisemitism, it is anti-immoral.

Did Israel have the right to defend themselves against the horrible attack perpetrated by Hamas that set off this terrible moment that has destroyed so many? Of course.

But, now? At what cost?

I, as have so many millions of others, have seen through a thousand different media lenses the horrific events and deaths that have been cited by the U.N, Amnesty International, and a massive list of other organizations around the world, including within Israel, as war crimes. They have all concluded the same, we are witnessing a genocide.

What can ultimately be done?

As the power, might, arms and money of the United States continue to support the Israeli governments destruction of the Palestinian people, at the minimum, supporting filmmakers such as Abraham and Szor is one way.

Supporting others that bring voice and opposition to these atrocities is another.

So I ask you, what side of history shall you choose to support?
