The Chiang Mai , Change Me Series
As the Series title implies, Jameel has been deeply inspired and profoundly altered by his current home of Chiang Mai, Thailand. This series is ongoing and represents his perspective and the influence of the color, chaos, texture and culture that make this place an incredible wonder and treasure to be part of as a resident and community member. Utilizing cardboard, paper, vintage Thai film posters and advertisements and Northern Thai textiles, each piece celebrates ties to the rich and vibrant land and it's people while also paying homage to the kingdom with hints of royal purples.
